Our Keynote speaker Herb Baker recently retired from NASA after 42 years of service. He spent most of his career at the Johnson Space Centre in Houston, supporting the Space Shuttle and Space Station Programs and worked at the Kennedy Space Centre and NASA Headquarters. His last position was serving as the Manager of the Operations Support Office, which provided support to the Flight Operations Office. It included support to the Astronaut office, Mission Control operations, NASA’s Aircraft Operations, and astronaut training. He is currently on the Board of Director of the NASA Alumni League.
We will also be hearing from Pradeep Dass from Space Engines Systems. Space Engine Systems (SES), headquartered in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, is a space transportation company. SES takes off like a plane and lands like a plane from any long runway to space. Their vehicle is 100% reusable, and the payload cost will be less than $950/kg to LEO. SES is setting up ground and launch test facilities in Jacksonville, Florida, the USA, and another at Cornwall, UK.
